Portland Cordage Co. now BridgePort Brewery
BridgePort Brewery Portland”s oldest brewery
The BridgePort clock is set to 4:11 1984.
The Ponzi’s moved into the building on April 11th, 1984 to start brewing for what was then called Columbia River Brewing (later changing its name to BridgePort after their BridgePort Ale).
Widmer Brewing in their first building on 14th and Lovejoy before moving over to N. Russell. This was before they were called “Widmer Brothers”
Widmer Ground Zero now Key Bank.
Old Widmer Brewing coaster (no Brothers)
McMenamins Barley Mill named for the barley mill they bought from Cartwright Brewing
The Barley Mill that ground the first barley for a microbrewery in Oregon – Cartwright’s.
The Barley Mill plaque
On a side note, the old barley mill was a kitty litter grinder before Cartwright used it for barley. Maybe that explains the notoriously bad taste of Cartwright’s beers.
Portland Brewing 1986 now Rogue Public House and Distillery. Nice tiles in the doorway.
Inside the bar room there is a picture on the wall from the old Portland Brewing pub.
Rogue match’em up, the picture hangs in the corner from exactly where the photo was taken making a match’em-up easy.
